GOLDILOCKS
salt and starlight book two
Sam only meant to paint the merman.
It was hard not to. Goldilocks is beautiful, vicious, vain, and impossible to ignore when he hauls himself onto the side of Sam’s fishing boat and demands to be admired. Sam has schoolwork to avoid, lobster pots to pull, a father to look after, and an estranged brother he can’t remember. Letting a golden merman pose for him should be a distraction.
But Goldilocks is not posing out of vanity.
He brings Sam gifts. Watches him work. Steals his attention from the things that make him miserable. Looks at Sam’s paintings like they are treasures and at Sam like he’s something even rarer.
Wanting Goldilocks is easier than looking too closely at everything waiting for him on shore: the headaches getting worse, the memories that don't line up, the brother who remembers a childhood Sam has lost, and the father Sam is terrified of losing for good.
Sam can't hide on the water forever. But with a possessive merman determined to keep him close, Sam might not have to face everything waiting on shore alone.
Goldilocks is an 18+ M/M merman romance with mystery, hurt/comfort, found family, explicit heat, strange courtship, dangerous secrets, and a golden merman who knows exactly what he wants.
